Fish for love - The secret behind our 22 children

March 19, 2026

Dear Pastor,

I grew up in a very poor home. We did not have much to eat. My brother and I used to go out with fishermen.

We hardly went to school, so we became fishermen from a very early age. My brother and I used to give our mother fish every day. The man we grew up knowing as our father didn't care much about us. We had sisters and my mother sent them to school. The boys in the community were afraid of us, so they did not fool around our sisters because they looked at us as bad men.

I could get any number of girls I wanted. I have ended up with 12 children. My brother has 10. The girls like us because we were able to give them fish almost every day. My brother and I have light complexion, so we can give girls pretty babies. My brother and I can read because we went to JAMAL. We learnt how to read and write.

I am a good cook; everybody in the community knows that. For years, I have been having an affair with a woman who is a school teacher. She had her man but she always loved me. Of all the women who I have had, nobody is like this woman to me. My brother got married but this woman and I are still moving together. Some people know now that two of the children that she has are mine; they have everything for me.

I no longer go out to sea. My children are taking care of me. Some of my sons have taxis on the road. I have never got into trouble with the law. I am living in a nice area in St Andrew. So it is not where you are coming from that is important but what you have done with your life.

The two children who I have with this lady were able to attend college. One is a banker and the other is a teacher, like her mother. Don't worry about calling me a bad boy. I know I was bad, but my children did not turn out badly at all, and that is what is important to me.

Dear L.T.,

You mentioned something in your letter that I have deleted totally. You ought to be happy that you are still alive.

I am glad to know that your children are supporting you. Although you had many women, you were good to your children. You should be going to church every Sunday. It is not too late for you to begin to do so. Take good care, my friend, and all the best.
