The Western Sports New Kingston Business House Six-A-Side football league continues to thrill fans and corporate teams alike, as Jamaica Premix, Edgechem Paints, and Spectrum Roofing advanced to the semi-final round following a series of gripping quarter-final encounters at Barbican Astro Turf.

After a tense, goalless draw against ZS Limited, Jamaica Premix secured their place in a match ultimately decided by penalties. Premix held their nerves to win 2-0 in the shootout.

Spectrum Roofing booked their semi-final spot by edging First Global Bank by a 1-0 margin in a cagey encounter. The lone goal came in the eighth minute, courtesy of Teon Larmond, in what was a subdued but effective performance by Spectrum.

The highlight of the round came in the much-anticipated 'Battle of the paint experts', where Edgechem Paints defeated Berger Paints 1-0 in a thrilling and high-energy showdown, a game widely regarded as the match of the tournament so far.

Both teams delivered end-to-end action and played with heart and intensity in front of a large, enthusiastic crowd. The decisive goal was scored by Jahvon Sutton in the 10th minute, sealing a memorable win for Edgechem in a pulsating encounter.

The last semi-final berth will be determined today, when Celebration Brands face off against KPMG in the final quarter-final clash.

The tournament is sponsored by Western Sports, who generously donated footballs to all 38 participating teams at the start of the competition, on July 14.
