Two in custody over Denham Town shoooting that killed dad and child

The double murder that shattered a Denham Town home in Kingston and stole the lives of a father and his three-year-old son have now led to two men being taken into custody.

Police confirmed that two persons are being held in connection with the February 21 attack that claimed the lives of three year old Jayce Pinnock and his 31 year old father, Kerrio Pinnock. Their identities are being withheld as investigations continue.

Reports are that about 1:30 a.m., armed men stormed the family's Nelson Street residence and opened fire. Investigators say Kerrio tried to run from the hail of bullets but was shot multiple times before the gunmen fled the scene.

After the shooting subsided, Kerrio, little Jayce and another child were found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were rushed to hospital where Jayce was pronounced dead. Kerrio later succumbed to his injuries on Monday, February 23. The other child was admitted for treatment.

Police say investigations have intensified and are urging anyone with information to contact the Denham Town Criminal Investigations Branch at 876 948 6443, Crime Stop at 311, the National Intelligence Bureau at 811, or the nearest police station.
