Stunt rider 'Bike Back' had plans to celebrate his birthday with a party dubbed 'V6' at Minotte Terrace off Chisholm Avenue, Kingston 13, on Friday. The rider was reportedly excited to celebrate with family friends and supporters. However, in a cruel twist of fate, he died in a crash, hours before the scheduled start of the event.

"He was really excited for his birthday party," his friend, Barrington 'Daylight' Heslop, told THE STAR.

"A couple family members all fly in, everything was already bought ... Him love put himself together so new clothes and all that buy," Daylight added.

The police said that about 3:15 Friday morning, 'Bike Back', whose given name is Jahbar Brown, was driving his motor cycle in an easterly direction, along the Mandela Highway in St Andrew, when he lost control and collided in a metal barrier. He was pronounced dead at hospital.

A video, which was captured at the scene, has been making its way around social media. In the video, a distraught onlooker was heard expressing disbelief about what he had seen.

"But Jesus, dawg, mi caah believe, dawg. A caah Bike Back dis," the man said.

Meanwhile, Daylight described Bike Back as a great friend and a motor cycle enthusiast.

"Him come like mi right hand. If anything a bother him you can't really know. Bike Back always a laugh because him just jovial," Daylight said.

He said the biker's untimely death has left his family members and friends shaken.

"The family hurt, but mi can tell you especially about his friends. We keep something for him every night from him dead," Daylight said.

According to data from the National Road Safety Council, 371 persons have been killed in fatal crashes as of November 24.
