Two men drown in St Elizabeth

Members of the Pedro Plains Police Station and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Coast Guard responded to two suspected cases of drowning at the Frenchmen Beach in St Elizabeth on Monday.

Dead are 26-year-old Joseph Anderson, JDF soldier of May Day, and 26-year-old Kevon Gayle of Avondale, both in Manchester.

Reports are that about 3:20 p.m., both men were swimming at the beach when they experienced difficulties.

THE CENTRAL STAR understands that a search was conducted, but the men have not been found.

Investigations are ongoing.
