A man tried to pay for his McDonald's drive-thru with a bag of marijuana, according to police.
Port St Lucie officers in Florida say 23-year-old Anthony Andrew Gallagher tried to barter with the drug in exchange for a meal, but his unusual offer was rejected by the fast food worker.
Police approached him when he returned after being alerted to his offer and given a description from the worker.
He was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and marijuana possession, while it's not known if he tried to pay with drugs the second time, or if he has a lawyer.
A man had a full bag of human penises inside his car. Highway patrol officers made the alarming discover during a routine traffic stop in Florence, South Carolina after they pulled the 53-year-old man over because of a damaged tail light.
As reported by NBC News 6, officers were suspicious because he was "sweating profusely and grinding his teeth together" while glancing at the back of the car.
The officer added: "I detected a strong rotten smell and asked the driver what it was. He told me not to open it and said it was none of my business. I had reason to believe there was something illicit inside so I went ahead and opened it up ... "I was completely shocked, I have no idea why he'd have a sack of penises and he completely clammed up after we made the discovery."
Authorities are investigating how he came to be in possession of them.
A school cafeteria worker is inspiring students with messages written on bananas.
Stacey Truman - cafeteria manager at Kingston Elementary School in Virginia - has been serving up the fruit with motivational messages scrawled along them.
This has ranged from sayings like "You are loved" and "Follow your dreams" to longer notes like: "It isn't where you come from, it's where you're going that counts."
Truman told the Washington Post: "I want them to succeed in life and have an awesome day at school. Whenever I can put a smile on all of those little faces, I've done my job."
She has since branched out to drawing emojis on oranges as she does what she can to brighten the students' day.
A study at the Dolphins Plus Marine Mammal Responder in Key Largo, Florida saw the animals played videos on a screen through underwear windows.
As well as scenes from Sir David Attenborough's nature series Planet Earth, they were also shown similar programmes and animated favourite 'Spongebob Squarepants'.
Researchers - who wrote about their findings in the journal Zoo Biology - monitored the dolphins' behaviour and looked for signs of interest including nodding their heads or pressing them against the glass, or more aggressive signals like clamping their jaws.
They wrote: "Rough-toothed dolphins displayed significantly more behaviours, particularly interest and bubble behaviours, than bottlenose dolphins, with no differences observed between the species for the percentage of time spent watching."
Among bottlenose dolphins, males watched the television longer, and responded behaviourally significantly more, displaying a higher rate of bubble and aggressive behaviour than females."
