My wife is giving me bun with a truck driver

Dear Pastor,

I am writing you about a problem. I am a farmer and my wife does higglering.

We have two children together, but I took her with two children and I adopted them. I don't have any problems with them. I sent them too school. They call me daddy. They appreciate me. We all live together as one big family.

When things were going well, my wife used to take the goods to the market from Thursday night. The two girls used to stay in their room and the two boys who I have with my wife used to stay in the other room. My wife and I slept in the other room. Sometimes my wife didn't come home until Saturday. I started to wonder why. A higgler told me that my wife does not come down early any more because she and the truck man were having a relationship. I told her that could not be true because the driver is living with his woman. The lady told me that she knew what she was talking about and she was telling me facts.

When I questioned my wife why she can't come home earlier, she said it was because things are slow. The woman who told me that my wife was having a relationship with the truck driver said she caught them having sex in the truck, and when she called out to them, the driver told her to mind her own business. I told my wife that she should stop travelling with this man, but she said she cannot because when she doesn't have any money, she can travel with him for free until she was able to pay him.

Do you believe that this man would allow my wife to travel with him for free? I am so embarrassed because of them. These people know me and they know that I am a hard-working man. I did not believe that my wife would stoop so low and have sex on banana trash in a truck. I do not want to destroy my relationship, but my wife has destroyed it. I don't know what to do and that is why I wrote to you.

Dear M.J.,

You have spoken to your wife. You told her to stop travelling with this man, but she has refused to do so.

She said that whenever she is broke, the truck driver allows her to travel on the truck until she is ready to pay him. She is certainly not travelling with him for free. He has her the way he wants her. She has no shame. Why is she having sex with this man in the truck? She is not only embarrassing herself, she is embarrassing you as a man and as a provider.

You should tell her that you know she is having an affair with the truck driver and you should insist that this affair should come to an end. Also, let her know that both of you should go and see a family counsellor for sessions. If she refuses to go, you may have to seek the help of a lawyer.
