Gun, ammunition seized in Kingston

Police seized a firearm and several rounds of ammunition during an operation on Love Lane, Kingston CSO, on Tuesday. One man was taken into custody.

Charged is 23-year-old Oshane Wilson of Love Lane, Kingston.

Reports from the Central police are that about 9:45 p.m., police were on patrol when they came upon two men. Upon seeing the police, one of the men pulled an object from his waist, threw it under a cellar and sped away. He was later accosted and the area was searched, leading to the seizure of a 9mm Kel Tec semi-automatic pistol and a magazine containing 6 rounds.

Wilson was subsequently arrested and is scheduled to appear in the Half-Way Tree Gun Court on Monday, January 18.
