Thieves have stolen PS28,550 worth of cheese in France.
The criminals got away with four tonnes of comte worth €40,000 from a prestigious dairy in eastern France with cheese-makers being told to beef up security to combat the growing black market, according to The Times newspaper.
A representative from the local farmers' union federation, Phillipe Monnet, suggested that dairy farmers install security cameras and motion sensors to prevent further blunders.
