Sting not just about A'mari and Queenie — patrons
While the famed clash between dancehall divas A'mari and Queen Ladi Gangster has been making waves online, patrons say they are not the only artistes they came out for.
Flying all the way from Boston, one 'dolly' Put-Put told THE STAR her artistes are Pablo YG, Skeng and Mr-Katch-di-hat himself, Valiant, among others.
"I'm here to see Valiant, Skeng, Queenie, Amari, Pablo, Molly, and you done know everybody."
Anika Lugg, who travelled from Brown's Town, said while her friend is here for the entire show, the only act on her mind is the Top Gyal artiste herself, Shaneil Muir.
Flashing her holiday-appropriate red wig, she told THE STAR, "It's my first time at Sting and me want fi see me favourite artiste Shaneil Muir, Top Gyal."
The pair, who have been best friends for more than two decades, said if this staging of the greatest one-night reggae and dancehall festival delivers, they will make it a priority to make the trip yearly and make the show a staple on their calendar.
Put-Put shared, "2020 is the return of Sting, so why not. We here just a represent. I'm not here just for it, but we had to come to Sting. Regardless we had to come."
